Collegedale-based McKee Foods Corp. is expanding, investing $102 million and creating about 50 new jobs over the next five years.

This expansion includes new equipment for manufacturing, an onsite state-of-the-art conference center and an office building.

“We’re thrilled to be increasing our production capacity and supporting the community we love through new jobs and investment in the local economy,” said Mike McKee, the company’s chief executive, in a statement.

“McKee has consistently been successful here,” said Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger.

Charles Wood, the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce’s vice president for economic development, said legacy companies such as McKee are an important cornerstone in the regional economy.

“They are Hamilton County’s largest manufacturer and this project represents a significant long term commitment to our community,” he said. website seo analysis
