Mike Baker joins Birmingham-based Rock Apartment Advisors as Managing Director. Previously with Capstone Collegiate Communities, Baker was responsible for identifying and executing on student housing development opportunities across the US and Canada. He was involved in over $300 million in new developments over the last four years and has experience in low, mid and high-rise products. Prior to Capstone, Baker was with Lennar Multifamily Communities, Walker & Dunlop and Johnson Capital. Baker brings a wealth of multifamily experience, as well as capital markets expertise. With his leadership, Rock looks to broaden its coverage into all multifamily types as well as grow its geographic footprint.

Baker received his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a concentration in Real Estate Development and Finance, as well as Corporate Finance. He also received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University.
